Visual field report / 04 November 2026 / Meta hackathon prototype
Keep the look. Direct the movement.
From original photographic references to an inspectable 3D set, a shared shot plan and a real Blender motion clip. One workspace, with the production inputs visible at every step.
The Conservator. Actual running application. Original Meta references, two reconstructed static meshes and an authored room. This is the planning world; its pixels are not the final photographic appearance.

01 / In the workspace
See the whole workflow.
A real-time screen recording of the existing production. Navigate the set, inspect reference comparisons, play the Blender output and review the exact prepared request.
65 seconds · real time · silent · 1680 × 1050. No synthetic task activity or staged progress. The event feed shows recorded work; no crew tasks are running in this capture. Video generation remains unapproved.
00:00–00:06. The saved production world shows Mara and the pitcher. A short orbit changes the view without changing scene state.
00:06–00:14. The character reference manager opens the isolated mesh comparison. Three photographic views and the recorded planning-only review remain visible.
00:14–00:22. The prop comparison shows the reconstructed pitcher's shape, opening and handle beside its approved product image.
00:22–00:30. The location comparison places the original room photograph beside the authored set and its remaining mismatch notes.
00:30–00:45. The Blender panel plays the actual motion render. The editable scene and validation receipt are accessible.
00:45–00:55. Submission review shows the five pinned original appearance images: character front, back and face, prop, and location.
00:55–01:05. The prepared request shows the actual motion MP4, exact compiled prompt and future cost estimate. Approval stays unchecked; no final video is dispatched.
02 / Appearance authority
The photograph comes first.
Three newly generated sources, created specifically for this isolated experiment. These images define the intended appearance; the reconstructed world supports spatial planning.
Mara / Character. One coherent contact sheet supplies three views. The front view conditions reconstruction; the back and face remain review and final-video appearance references.Cobalt pitcher / Prop. An original opaque ceramic object with a readable silhouette.Sunlit studio / Location. A master image guides local room authoring.

Reference approval and mesh acceptance in this test were recorded by the host evaluator, not by the user as creative director. The fictional character is generated; it is not a photograph of a real performer.
03 / Reference to geometry
Make the differences visible.
Actual image-to-3D outputs are inspected inside the app. Each review keeps geometry, proportions, materials, colors and identity separate so planning acceptance does not imply photographic fidelity.
Meta SAM 3D
A character you can frame.
The reconstructed silhouette and workwear provide a usable static wide-shot planning asset, normalized to an authored height of 1.72 m.
Face detail is coarse; fingers are fused or insufficiently separated. Exact likeness, articulated acting and hand contact are not established.
The existing editor adapts the room to the approved reference: warm cream surfaces, a north window and an east-wall door.
This is reference-guided architecture, not automatic room reconstruction. Dimensions, plaster grain, floor seams, window detail and sunlight remain approximate.
The working subprocess integration renders a minimal technical scene from the shared shot plan. The interface exposes task status, the editable scene, the output clip and validation evidence.
The actual Blender workspace in the application. The current integration runs local subprocesses; Blender MCP is not implemented.
Technical motion reference. Actual 12-second render at 640 × 360 and 24 fps. The simple actor and prop proxies communicate blocking; they do not represent final appearance.
One plan, a measurable result.
One slow camera approach; actor and prop stay stationary.
The initial cropped-prop composition was corrected and rerendered.
The prepared package binds five original photographic views, the actual Blender motion clip and the compiled shot prompt. The package is ready for review; it has not been approved or sent.
Appearance inputs. Five pinned original views with zero missing appearance bindings. Coverage is a lineage check, not proof of final-film fidelity.Motion and instructions. The real MP4, compiled prompt and future price estimate are visible. The authorization control remains unchecked.
06 / Generated-video evidence
An earlier output, in context.
The new Conservator experiment stops at the prepared production request. This separate, earlier prop experiment demonstrates that an approved image and an actual Blender motion clip reached the video-generation path.

Amber bottle · reference plus motion
Meta produced the photographic reference. A separate video renderer produced this clip. It is not a final film from the Conservator scene.
Original approved prop image. Approval was recorded by the build evaluator for the test.Actual provider output · 4.04 seconds · 854 × 480 · 24 fps · silent. The published MP4 is byte-identical to the recorded output.
The take remains unaccepted. Only the bottle had an approved appearance reference; the inherited room and furnishings had eight coverage warnings. Exact geometry, camera-path fidelity and continuous identity stability remain unverified.
The report captures a working prototype and its observable limits. Media is selected from actual runs; no API requests were made to create this report.
